Vermont, June-August, 2011
By the time late June 2011 came, much of the excessive moisture had dissipated, lakes, streams, and rivers had returned to normal levels (farmers opined that "a bit of moisture would be nice") and it became a normal lovely Vermont summer. I roamed my usual haunts with camera and tripod, making several trips to Molly Beattie bog to keep track of the pitcher plants there, made a second foray to Big Falls, this time to put the falls into perspective with the surrounding cliffs, Jack Brook (a favourite stream in deep woods of the Lost Nation area of the Northeast Kingdom, as well as forays into the woods near us and birds and mammals visiting our cottage by the lake. I also acted as photographer for the Lake Seymour July 4th Boat Parade and later photographed the annual "Hook-in on Shattuck Hill".
