Amphibians, Reptiles, and Mammals of the UAE
The UAE and Oman has abundant sea life; wild vertebrate on land are somewhat less plentiful. There are two species of toad (no frogs, or so we're told), snakes, lizards, and various small mammals (including bats). Larger mammals are present but not commonly seen except for semi-domesticated ones in zoos and private collections. The Arabian leopard is nearly extinct. The Arabian tahr is said to be present where I've gone looking but I've never seen one. They're working hard to reintroduce the Arabian oryx but the only ones I've seen are in zoos. And I don't display photos I take in zoos.
